There is a mix of old school cross country, rocky technical and machine built flow going on at Redhead. I'm not sure it's 100% all worked out yet (there were some parts that were kind of "meh") but, it is a pretty good start for a first effort and they are building out more continuously.

Also the quarry terrain is sort of unique (fantastic change from just riding through midwest woods) and it is beautiful in the Fall.

I wasn't sure what to make of this trail for someone who's been riding 30+ years. In the end I decided this is a really good trail for a beginner rider who is ready to move onto intermediate trails. The climb is achievable, the flats offer pumpy goodness, and the descent offers speed and undulating challenge without overwhelming the new rider.
