I always used my brother's bike when the pandemic started, but now since he lives on his own a few cities away where I live we decided to buy myself my own bike. His was a 29er with like an L ( 17"-18") in the frame size. He's 6'3", now I'm 15 and like 5'9"- 5'10". My bike right now is a 27.5 with a 16.5" frame size and it kinda looks small to me, both the tire and frame size. I don't know how tall I'd grow, but if you do, what size of frame should I get? Well let's measure it in inches (majority wins on the most common frame size I see, it might be the size I'd get.) I usually like hardtails and especially if they're 29er. But depending on my bike fitting, and for my future bike fit (if I grow taller) let's say I'm gonna get a frame that'll last for a few years. What are your thoughts? Should I get a 17", 18", maybe a 19" seat tube? Lemme know your thoughts, Cheers.

Just an FYI, many modern bikes aren't sized by seat tube length, but by small/medium/large/etc. With that said, frames that are sized by seat tube and have a 19" seat tube length, are typically considered large. Large bikes are generally sized for people around 5'10" to 6'2" or so. Each manufacture is different and should have their own size chart, but in general a bike this size is probably best for you, as it'd fit you now and will fit indefinitely or until you grow beyond 6'2". You are on the edge of medium (~17") and large, so you technically could go either way, but if you grow any more you'll quickly outgrow it. An extra large (~21") will be way too big for you currently, so there's no reason to try to plan for a big growth spurt.
