Hi Guys,

any of you guys have recommendations for biking goggles which can be worn over normal prescription goggles?

Any chance Oakley makes them?

Thanks!

I think they're L frames.

Here are the ones I use. There's a snap-on nose piece attached on these when I use them on a dirt motorcycle in the woods. Otherwise the nose piece isn't needed. I use them over some prescription Oakley A-Wires.

There are several companies out there that can add your prescription to a set of goggles. I had Oakley goggles for both my dirt bike and for snowboarding, as well as sunglasses etc. I can't recall the company's name now though. I had Lasik done in March, and IMHO, that is a cheaper way to go rather than getting sport specific googles/glasses for all the stuff I did. If I can find any of my old goggles I'll post the name of the Co that I used.
Any motorcycle shop should have what you need. Of course they cost twice as much as regular goggles !
Contacts out of the question? I never thought I would like contacts since my eyes are pretty sensitive but I finally took the plunge about 2 years ago. Holy ****, the world is completely different (for the better). Everyone is different but the only cons for me are the contacts can get very uncomfortable when I use the computer or watch TV. The doctor told me I should be wearing my glasses anyway so to me its a given. You will be amazed how different it is driving a car with and without glasses.
Paintball goggles... many are OTG sized, and you can get thermal lenses and fans for quite a few models which combined with the airflow from being on a bike can all but eliminate fogging in even the worst conditions.
Hey guys,

thanks for all the great suggestions. I may think of contacts in the future but the thought of messing with them to get them on/off is a hassle to me. Been using glasses since I was 8 and kind of used to them.

As for Lasik, heard some pretty bad stories of people having 'star-burst' effect when looking at bright lights. Heard its getting better thou.

I think I'll probably try the Oakley L Frames if I can find a place to try them.Hope they don't fog up too easily! Its pretty hot and humit here in Singapore!

Trust me, its definately worth it to explore. I wore glasses exclusively for 15 years before finally trying contacts. It takes some getting used to but the benefits are incredible. The one thing I love is I can wear sunglasses whenever I want, especially when driving. Even though I had transitions when I wore glasses full-time, they never worked in the car.

i was very sceptical about contacts as well until about 2 years ago when i decided i wanted to get back into basketball

i am converted

contact lenses are great... and its not a problem at all putting them in/taking them out once you have a few weeks of practice under your belt

for what its worth i still wear glasses during the week
