anything you can affort from Ultimate (feedback sports) is top of the line. Some stands are not a tripod design, some don't raise high enough for standing and working comfortable, some don't fold up quickly for storage, some are not aluminum so if you use them as a wash stand they will rust. Ultimate stands have none of these issues.

I highly recommend the Topeak Prepstand Elite:

Strong, sturdy, very easy to use, holds the bike at any angle, folds for easy storage.
I second this recommendation for the topeka.
I have used mine at every race for two seasons including worldwide trips at WC races. It is strong and durable, folds up thin and holds a lot of weight. Clamp strength is strong, 360* rotation, etc.
Best bang for you buck right there

I have this one.Works great. My bike is about 34 pounds and it holds it fine. But I think a heavy DH rig might flex the stand a bit if you have it up high. But the stand telescopes so in a lower position it would be fine.
