I just picked up a 26" hardtail that came with a 2010 Reba fork on it (with remote poplock included) off of eBay. Looks like a very nice set-up, but now I am wondering if I should trade in the Reba and pick up a SID? I have used Reba forks before and never had an issue with them, but I would really like to have a nice light-weight bike and was wondering if a SID fork would be worth the hassle... From what I see, the difference in weight is approximately 1/2 a pound. The bike will be used for race situations, and I really don't ride anything too harsh or extreme.

So, my question is this - from your experience would it be wise to trade the Reba in for a SID? Or should I be looking elsewhere on the bike to lighten things up?

As always, I appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

Thank you :)

I have a 08 reeba world cup & a 09 Sid world cup on my bikes & for me there's not that much difference between the 2. Obviously the w Sid does feel slightly lighter & the reeba's slightly stiffer. From what I can remember the Sid was only around 100/150 gms lighter.
Unless you can get a killer deal on the sids I would save the money for other upgrades cos in my opinion you will not notice that much of a change. :)
