Not so much. The way a RockShox tech explained how MC works on the Reba is that when it's engaged, the damper is locked out and the spring functions are handled by the plastic spring thingy in the right leg. If you have a Race, Team, or WC the external floodgate is used to determine when the damper's lockout is overridden by bump forces. If you turn the floodgate all the way out it will allow smaller bumps to override the lockout, but at the expense of possibly having it bob on out of the saddle efforts.
