Currently have an 05 Enduro with i to i lenght 7.625 x 2.0...I'm thinking about upgrading the suspension to a coil shock but can't seem to find the same lenght shock in a coil. Would going with a 7.5 or 7.875 drastically change my geometry? Thanks for your help:thumbsup:

It's been done on your model quite a bit. Some have even done a 7.875 X 2.25 shock with no problems...maybe run the link in the slacker position at the most. This also allows you to get a slightly higher travel fork and have a decent combination.

Just remember if you buy a shock that doesn't have the right eye to eye for your frame, you might void the warranty and if specialized has a warranty that is more then a year you might void there's as well.

You save the old shock. Then one dark day when your frame breaks. You install your old shock. You go into the shop and say, "This POS frame broke!" End of story.:D

who cares about warranty issues. special ed sucks when it comes to "lifetime" warranties anyway.....

my enduro had a "lifetime" of 4 months. special ed said "no dice" because my frame "looked" abused. if anyone has a way of making a frame with a broken off headtube look "not abused" i'd like to know....
$1400 for a frame that lasts 4 months is a hard pill to swallow....
