I have a 2006Marin Bobcat Trail. Last weekend I shredded the rear derailluer off and I am seaching Ebay to find a new one. The one that was on there was a Shimano Acera. I am wondering is there any rear der. that won't work on that bike, or should I just call Marin and ask them? Thanks in advance for you help....Jason

Edit: I am looking at a Shimano RD-M760 and want to know would this work on my bike?

Posted in the Marin forum also but need some advice

the M760 is a long cage the only difference is that it is low normal and my old one was top normal if I am right this will only change the direction the gears shift on the indicator right? Or am I misunderstanding that?

shifters for low normal and top normal should be interchangeable.

it should shift how the indicator displays the gears, tho.

because up is now down.
