I bought a rear derailleur, used XT (short cage). Before it was installed I had a little problem with a hanger, it was a little bent and twisted, after instal. the distance from der. to the spokes was extremely close (5 millimeters), I changed the der. hanger, but it didn't do much, still very close to the spokes, the der. is tuned up, so I wonder is the derailleur could be bent or damaged? Thank you.

It could be, hard to tell from the photos, how does the cage look to you? 5mm does sound a bit close.

Well, I was in the shop, and they said it's definitely was hit, and now it's not straight, even the chain is getting twisted by the derailleur, so I will try to return it. Do not buy used derailleurs, unless you 100% sure it's good. Damn, thanks anyway.:madman:
