Really...really mad at my Mags...

Okay, so I finaly got some time to repalce the stripped cartridge on my HFX MAgs. All goes well until I go to tighten the hose nut. It gets to a certain point and then just seems to stop, at that pint the cartridge begins to spin inside of the body, which is a bad thing. It seems that the tolerance between the flat on the cartrisdge and the body are not close enough, the cartridge can just spin around inside.

I have tried tightenign down the pinch nut as tightly as possible and it makes no difference, the cartridge still begins to spin before the hose nut bottoms out.

Anyone else had this problem before? I'm about to say #[email protected]$ it and buy some 2007 avids.

Buy the Avids. They'll make you happy.

dogonfr will actually offer constructive advice.

Oh thanks throw bacon fat on the fire!!! :eekster:

The cartridge is finikey to lign up & get pushed in deep enough to the body. You were possibly close to the notch but when you let go to install the nut the cartridge it moved. Then you start to tighten the compression nut & the whole thing starts to rotate & tools fly. :incazzato:

The Avids are good but get some real lines that dont compress like the stockers. :)
