I have a Raleigh technium 400 with tubular tires. The bike is in awesome condition (except for thre tires) I ride on a bike path with potholes. Should I get a tubular tire for street use? A new wheel (I think 700cc) What would be options?
Nothing rides as smooth as nice road bike rolling on tubulars IMO but they are expensive and mostly non-repairable. I would try to pick up a nice pair of used 700c clinchers wheels. You'll have a ton of tire options for any conditions, your only limitation would be frame clearance.
