It's getting close to that time of the year, at least in the PNW, to gear up for wet riding. I've been using and abusing a rain jacket made by Showers Pass for 5 plus years and it's held up well except the tail was a little short and the zippered sleeves were not well designed. Recently I've purchased a Rain Jacket made by Endura, the Hummvee Waterproof Jacket for $124.00. For the money this is a well designed jacket, pit zip venting, chest pocket, rear pocket with storm flap, all zippers sealed and a breathable liner. I haven't taken it out on the trail yet but I did do a short road ride in light rain. It was 58°and I did get a little warm, opening the pit zips helped and one less layer underneath would have been better. If I was rich I would have purchased a Gore ShakeDry jacket, but $300.00 is a bit out of my range.
