Anyone seen this? Inner race cracked on a set of newer style radial bearings? Installed them this spring and a weird sounded showed up and pulled the link out and found this.

Yup, had the same thing happen to me. Pulled the axle and the inner race pretty much disintegrated. Bearings were only a season old and not ridden in the wet, but I'm heavy, ride hard, and parts fail. Worst part was getting it out.

Sorry ~ NooB question = where does this bearing "live"? I'm trying to understand what part of your bike failed?

Upper link main pivot. This in the inner race of the larger bearing.
