I have had my Turbine Cinch crankset for at least 3-4 seasons I think, and recently it has been a little b!tch. I cannot keep the chainring nut tight for more then a handful of rides rides, and the preload adjuster keeps backing off.

The last two times I have serviced the crankset they were complete tear downs, and detailed cleanings. Blue loctite was used on everything that had threads and grease was applied as needed. Torqued to spec with calibrated wrench. I even spit on it a few times for good measure.

Any tips?

Yo Jon, I was just looking at taking apart and cleaning RF Turbine Cinch crank and BB on my fat bike. Sucker is on their tight, any trick to loosening with the 8mm hex? Do I need the 16mm to loosen the cap first?

Also, which grease do you use?

I loosen and back the collar off first, then usually use a long breaker bar w/ and 8mm hex socket to get the crank arm off. No need to do anything with the 16mm.

I have had good luck with Phil Wood waterproof grease. I'll shoot you a FB message.
