I've got a 2021 Rocky Mountain Blizzard and a Race Face Turbine crankset currently with the RF 189 spindle. It has a lot of clearance though and is overly wide. By my calcs, the RF174 spindle would be the magical spindle to provide just barely enough clearance. It's listed in RFs spec documents but I can't find it anywhere. Any leads?

I got the same reply from Race Face when I contacted them about where to find one. I then contacted Pivot Cycles and they said the spindles ship with the bikes from China and could not be purchased separately.
In other words, a fella buys a pivot, pays a premium for the name, for whaddevuh reason, the spindle becomes a paperweight, they are TSOL cause a spindle is FUBAR.
Sounds like a raw deal...

I was able to buy one from RaceFace but I had to prove I owned a Les Fat. I have a 1st year model Les Fat (2015), and you can no longer get chainwheels for the proprietary E13 crankset those originally came with. So I had to find a new crank solution. Since the current Les Fat is supplied with the RF174 spindle, they made an exception. I had to buy a standard 136 crankset and then buy the additional $100 spindle kit.

Even as a Les Fat owner, this took me a month to get. Talking to several people before they agreed with my request they should supply one to me. Then, they charged me $90 + $25.00 shipping to mail it 30 miles…

Rather sticky situation to be in. And to take advantage of folks like that...
Glad you sorted it tho'.
