Well...
anybody?

I don't think you can go wrong with either crank. Personal preference, I suppose. If you do go with the RF crank, RF makes very nice rings. They're about the only other ring out there that shifts on par with Shimano. Race Face also makes very good BBs. I've had nothing but great luck with them. They're up in the Pacifc NW, so they've got to make sure their seals are the real deal. If it's an ISIS crank & BB, also check out FSA bottom brackets. I've had good luck with them as well.montgod said:Which would you choose? I am leaning towards the Race Face.
Also, if I were to choose Race Face, should I go with RF rings and BB or ...mix it up with Shimano rings and a differnt BB?
Sorry if this was....too much of a newbie, easy question for the pros! Thanks in advance!
And right around the same weight of the 04' XT. IMO the shimano rings work fine and wear well.montgod said:Which would you choose? I am leaning towards the Race Face.

Nice. I've had some of the Deus sets in. They're really nice cranks. I just installed some on my personal ride about a week ago. Initial impression is awesome. Easy to install, plus an adjustable chainline, to boot. Bearing quality, so far at least, seems to be the typical top notch Race Face folks expect. I like the polished silver for the same reason - I've had the same Turbine LPs on a bike for 7 years and they still look top notch.Stinky Wiz said:Personally, I'm saving up for the new X-Type Raceface Atlas cranks. They most closely resemble my old Turbines, a design I always admired both asthetically & structurally.
Plus, they will still look good years from now, whereas the XTR units will wear & I'm not sure I trust a (mostly) carbon crank, even from RF.
