Hi guys

I'm considering the race face next carbon crank.

I'm planing to set it up for 2x9 with a 42/27-28 combo.

Only thing holding me back is that I can't find any info regarding q factor?

Any one who knows what q factor to expect?

Don't want it to be extremly wide...

I can't help you, but I know several of the guys over in the weight weenie forums have that crank and could help you out.

The next cranks have the same q-factor as XTR, so pretty wide. The other issue you will have with converting a 3X9 to 2 ring is the ring placements. The usual way is to place them on the middle/small positions, which is not really ideal for the smaller ring. Better option is to go for a dedicated 2x9 crankset like the rotor 3D or similar, then get some rings to suit. That way you get better chainline and narrower stance.
