just want to get an ideal of how long it take other riders to ride the loop at raccoon mnt?
starting at east overlook and going counter clockwise, but skipping the small intestine trail, im guessing that it is around a 13 mile loop....

Starting at East Overlook, I went East Rim, gravel to connector, small intestine, grindestone ridge, 10 minute break at visitor center for a little food, mega watt w/ six flags, river gorge to laurel point, electric avenue. Took me about 2:30. Ended up being a little over 15 miles I believe.

Folks that are fast (as in upper end sport and better racers) are doing the entire loop in 1:20 - 1:30. Folks that aspire to be fast (but who aren't quite there yet, like me) are doing the entire loop in less than two hours.

By entire loop I mean leaving East Overlook, going counter clockwise. Ride Small Intestine clockwise though, so you're doubling up on that one short piece of trail between the ends of Small Intestine. On to Grind Stone, then Mega Watt, then the loop around Laurel Point, and back up Electric Avenue.

2.5 sure isn't slow! Small Intestine just flows so much better that way IMHO.

That is so funny, I too love ot ride SI CW! For me doing the entire loop leaving East Overlook, going counter clockwise. I ride through chunky and lower chunky to the switchyard and ride Small Intestine clockwise to Grind Stone, then Mega Watt, then the loop around Laurel Point, and back up Electric Avenue ~ 1:30 and is just at around 15 ish miles.
