Does anyone have anything to say about the lyric fork? I'm in the market for a new fork and was wondering how it compares to the Fox 36 Talas. I'm always a bit leary on buying first year components, but I've heard that Rockshox has gotten their act together after being purchased by Sram. I also like the maxle design. Just wondering if anybody has had issues or problems thus far.

Thanks
John

I had 3 Lyriks in 3 months. Two had creaky crowns and the other one had sloppy bushings and lost all low speed compression adjustment. When I was riding the Lyrik, I LOVED IT. I think that I was just getting warranty forks from the same batch and there must have been issues.

If these issues have been worked out, I would say that the Lyrik would be a very good candidate for a 160mm fork. It is very stiff and the maxle 360 is great.

FWIW, I havnt heard much about the creaky crown outside of my issues and a few others, so as it seems, it was isolated.

Give it a shot. I really liked it while I had it.
