Check out bustedspoke.com. It's a mostly New England mtb site with a pretty good sized dh/fr community. You can often find some group rides over there that welcome new comers.

Looking for a place in or near R.I. that is good? I have a nice circuit but am looking for some place new. Also what DH races are open to a "first timer" in New England?
