Just a shout out to my co-worker and friend from work, and condolences to his family and close friends.
A few weeks ago Ray Granillo was struck by a car while riding to work, and later died. Ray was just a short time away from retirement and he rode his bike to work and back home religiously, rain or shine. Ray rode because he loved it. As a mtb'r I understood his passion for being on the bike, it was more than a ride, it was his zen. He didn't need to ride. He didn't need to thwart the Chandler road traffic every day. He did it because he loved it.
Ray was a seriously nice guy and he will be missed.
R.I.P. Ray!
