Took a ride to get my manitou swinger x3 coil feeling good. Not much to adjust so don't expect a lot from this lil review.
Main difference I've noticed is how the rear has a progressive feel opposed to the very linear feel given from the air shock. No longer do I blow through all the travel and bottom the shock.
Coil ramps up nicely and the small bump feel is very good. I imagine that an rc4 would feel that much better and the ability to tune it even further would be awesome.
Only downside is the weight gain. My firechicken is more like a fireturkey at nearly 35#'s. But the feel o the coil is worth it. Kinda happy the rp23 took a dump and forced me to upgrade.
I'll let yall know how she feels after a day at the resorts if I get out there again.

The FB works really well with a coil shock. I went from the DHX Air, which I really liked, to the CCDB. Now that the CCDB is dialled in the bike feels amazing. It sticks to the ground brilliantly when riding along because I can run a bit more sag, but if I want to lift over something the rear has more pop. I don't notice the extra weight and I'm also running the aluminium rocker arm. The Enduro shock bearing set makes a difference as well. The rear is so smooth.

I really like my setup on the FB with the RC4 coil/RCS Ti spring. I honestly can't tell the weight difference but dunno why I always end up with the DHX air back on. Maybe I should try the coil again :)

Just got back from chasing my 14 and 16 yr sons down Whistler for 2 days on my FB w/rc4. Love it. Now when does that For 36 180 get here? :madman: Just about dialed.
Mine felt a little unbalanced when I put the CCDB on it. I was also thinking about getting the Float 180 fork but I'm very happy with how the whole package performs with a bit of fiddling.
