Ok so I am a true blue yankee but living down here in NC where, this spring, I discovered the joys of mountain biking. Now, I think of all the years of awesome biking I missed living in NH.... but I am visiting the family for xmas and was toying w/ the idea of bringing my bike up there. I've never mtn biked in the snow (obviously) but I've skiied and backpacked and have all the winter weather clothing. I'm just wondering if I can ride with my bike stock and not have to have snow tires and such?? Possible? Let me hear you guys' opinions. Also suggestions on where to ride if you think I can pull it off.

Thanks!

Erin

Too much snow for biking unfortunately.
Yeah, rent some skis or snowshoes and try again next year.
But the temps we've been having makes perfect powder conditions!
At least you can have the white Christmas experience.

Well if I'm going to be visiting NH I'd rather have snow than not. Gives me more time to go skijoring and XC anyway. Not to mention the important indoor activities such as drinking copious amounts of alcohol and eating lobster for xmas dinner.

Maybe this summer I'll make it up with my bike.

Thanks for the response )
