Hi all, I have a Diamondback Recoil 27.5 that I need to replace the bottom bracket on. I am brand new to working on mountain bikes but am fairly mechanically inclined. Is there a parts website that I could look up my year and model diamondback to see what bottom bracket I need?

You can also flip your bike over and measure the frame to get the BB size (73mm is the Overdrive 29er), and the spindle length as well (122.5mm on the Overdrive 29er). That size is pretty common for a lot of 'big box' MTBs out there, including my son's REI Co-Op DRT bike.

If your Recoil is the same specs as the Overdrive, then you can use the Shimano UN300 - English 73 x 122.5mm square-tapered bottom bracket as a direct replacement. Should cost anywhere from $12-$20.

I bought a brand new one but now have it as a spare since I ended going with a Shimano UN26 cartridge BB, so I could run a stronger thru-axle setup when I converted my bike to 1x.
