Hi Guys,

I'm looking to pick up a used fork and am wondering what all I need to look for?
It's for a '99 Klein Montra FS bike. The current Manitu fork is way to soft for me.

I don't need anything special, I'm just looking to have some sort of shockabsorbtion in the front. The Manitu isn't worth a dang!

I'm also around 260lbs.
Thanks for your help!
Paul

What model fork is it? If it's an air spring model you might be able to solve you problem just by upping the pressure...

Hi,

The current fork is a Manitou SXe TPC.
There's only a spring in one of the shafts and oil dampener in the other as far as I know. It is not an air fork. I've taken the spring out and taken it to my lbs and asked if they could get a biefier spring. But it didn't look promising.
