Sorry, I do not understand this response. So to clarify, on an 05 Reba (which is an air version), is it possible to change travel while riding the bike?cmdrpiffle said:On the 05 forks, the above responses are correct. BTW for the air springs, you do not need to unweight the fork, for the spring, yep.
Yes IF it is a U-turn equipped fork.beanbag said:Sorry, I do not understand this response. So to clarify, on an 05 Reba (which is an air version), is it possible to change travel while riding the bike?
On my '05 Reba Race U-turn i adjust the travel on the fly all the time, it not a problem.beanbag said:Can you adjust the travel while in the middle of riding, or do you need to unweight the fork?
Ditto, I adjust my 05 Race U-turn while riding too. BTW, awesome fork.Ratt said:On my '05 Reba Race U-turn i adjust the travel on the fly all the time, it not a problem.
Answer 1 - you can adjust the U-turn on the fly easily - the wind down just compresses from rider weight - to extend the travel you do need to unweight the front end a bit (small wheelie) to allow the fork to extend - easily done. Answer 2 - the U-turn has completely different internals than the Dual Air and to swap out would be more than the price of the fork. '05 U-turns can be gotten pretty cheap now.beanbag said:Can you upgrade a non U-turn fork into a U-turn one? And what parts would you need?
Yup. Unweight the bike completely. Take off the front wheel. And get a car. But, seriously. Get a car. Loser.beanbag said:Can you adjust the travel while in the middle of riding, or do you need to unweight the fork?
