Hi Everyone.

To start off I want to buy a 2008 Norco Manik. I want to buy a size small as I will be using it for downhill and freeride, and need lots of stand over clearance.

However, I'm worried about one thing.

That is, when I turn, and have the cranks straight, I don't want the front tire to his my foot.

If anyone owns a Size Small Norco (they all have pretty much the same frame sizing), is there still plenty of clearance between the pedal when it is straight out and the tire? Or are my feet going to hit?

I currently own a Medium size Sasuquatch, and it has plenty of clearance, but I need to know if a size small 2008 model will be the same.

To answer your question, on your medium Sasquatch do you have an inch of clearance from the toe of your foot to the tire when they are closest? The front wheel on a small Sasquatch/Manik is 23mm (nearly one inch) closer to the bottom bracket than on a medium so if you have that much clearance you should be fine with the next size down.

yep, I still have 70mm of clearance between my big toe and my tire when it is turned closest as possible to my foot.

So if I buy a size small, I will still have 45 mil of clearance, that's plenty.

However, with my shoes on I only have 45 mil of clearance.

That will still be enough so they miss my feet by 17 mil.

And if my feet grow I can put a 180mm crank on rather than the standard 190.

I just realized I was comparing it with 2005 Norco Sasquatch Geometry and the 2005 Sasquatch is different to the 2004 Sasquatch Geometry Wise.

So I can't compare with how much room I will have on a Norco Manik.

So I need to hear from some one who owns one.

If anyone who owns a size small 2007 or 2008 Hardtail could measure the distance between the pedal when sitting flat, with the crank straight and the front tire, and then post the measurement here (or send me a PM) that would be great. Because then I can go and compare it to the measurement on my own bike and find the difference in order to determine if I will have enough room or not.

Is there anyone at all? I'm DESPERATE to know this
