I assume you're changing the chain at the same time? Using the same chain length should be okay unless you ride in the biggest chainring and largest cog.

he's going from 34 to 32. i think you read it the other way. if anything, existing chain might be a tad long for the smallest chain ring / smallest cog combination.
might also need to loosen B screw a few turns.
wish i was strong enough to give up my 34 tooth cog...
