Has anyone thought about or PUSH'd their epic's Float R? Would it make any difference? It seems like it should make the suspension plusher when active... Any thoughts?

I have a stumpy120....but...I had it PUSH'd. It made the pedal platform stiffer while making the small bump compliance softer.
The bottom line is : they know what they're doing and it works.

so replace the brain shock with a regular one. basically, you'ld have a merida fs, but with the horst link. and it wouldn't look nearly as ugly.

That's why I am saying goodbye to my Epic after riding it every weekend for almost over a year. I'll still build it up again with old parts though......

I hated the "will it open or will it not" feeling and the "conk" feeling you get on fast up and down bunny hops. With the rear shock/linkage technology coming along and PUSH tuning shocks, I just don't see an real advantage anymore. When EPIC first came out in 03, I think it was the "awesome technology." I think the 06 brain is better, but I am just not convinced.

The way it is built, the shock is on a "post" of sorts that makes the eye to eye VERY long. I do not see it.

With the tunable '06 brain it doesn't 'conk' anymore if you tune it towards 'soft'.

The Push guys don't care much for the brain - (I'm not sure if that's because they don't work on it). They think platform shocks that they tune to the rider are better.
