What is the different in these styles? Just Trunnion or completely different?

They have different layouts to fit into different frames, because some frames may have less space, or a different orientation of the shock etc. Internals are the same.
The bottom one is the newest design, and there have been some changes.
But probably would not notice much difference on the trail.

The bottom one isn't newer it's just a regular 11.6r. The top one is a trunnion mount variation of the same shock for bikes that need a trunnion style shock. They also make another similar style to the top one but not trunnion for frames that don't fit the style at the bottom. They also make a stronger steel shaft for ebike variants. But all shocks work the same internally and are just variations of the same thing depending on frame fit.

Oh yes I have just noticed that in their site, I did not realize they were still using that older reservoir design, but obviously yes for the trunnion mounts.
