Got this thursday, build it up saturday- was going riding today, but life got in the way.

weightwise, 17 kgs with dual ply DHFs 2.5 strailine pedals and 823 rims - so i can knock off a kg or more quite easy.

since its not my first summum, i know how its going to behave, but this time around will be able to test the Bos Stoy directly vs the fox RC4

Good GOD that thing is killer! Where do you live? Not in the USA I take it.
Nope

In euroland.

im the one who PM you on RM about the dorado ;)

just wait till its done, right now its still missing the little extras thats going to kick it through the roof.

as for the rest. axle to crown just looks crazy cos its a super low and slack frame ;) its a size medium also, and last the 30 MM riser bars etc make it looks super high, but in fact its the same height at the bars as a couple of others i kno that have flatbars etc.. the summum is a very low frame.. ground hugging beastie ;)

Oh okay nice! Yeah you can probably dump the forks in the crowns like almost up to 50MM to make it a little steeper also. I really want to get one to test but don't think that will happen anytime soon!:madman:

ianjenn, who knows maybe next year ill take it to the states, if your near the boston area, im always up for a loaner, or hell if the offers right a good trade ;)

almost forgot, im using a loaner stem right now, but its too short on the dorado, so i gotta have the stem above the uppers.

So advice on which DM stem to get that fits, so i can actually drop them a bit ;)

b-kul i didnt even think of that but hey, i always liked them ;)

Ianjenn, cheers twenty6 it is then.

I already got some pre-runners in black with purple pins coming, so would go nice with the pedals, just wasnt sure it would fit since the crap straitline doesnt- its not event straight out of the box.

oh and about reviewing the frame- my last few frames were intense SS then morewood kalula and a banshee legend MkII. i would say i rate- for me the summum higher then all of those, but for different reasons ;) it just suits my riding better, but will say the legend is a much better plowbike, the summum is just so damn easy to get back in line if things get outta shape and heading over the edge.

The legend in comparison for me was more stable, but not as easy to wrestle around- if that makes sense. it all came together when i tried both on a rooty track, where my friends usually have to wait up for me, i got on the summum and was suddenly finding myself having to brake to stay behind them, and i put in less effort then i ever did-

This is my second summum btw, sold the other one to a friend, who finally decided to upgrade on his 222 from around 2003 i think.. and the first time in years im not tempted to get a different one.
