Not a lot of pictures from the Punisher Plus Route. For those not familiar this route goes from Spooner Summit to Toad's Wild Ride. 40 miles of great technical Tahoe singletrack. Awesome views, brutal climbs, awesome downhills all finishing up with a creamy Toads finish... yummy.

Just the mention of Punisher causes my quad muscles to twitch like it wants to cramp. I painfully recall falling to my knees upon arrival at Armstrong Pass and saying "never again!"

We are brothers in our suffering, I was hurting and decided I was going to drop down Armstrong when I got there all the way from Star Lake to Freel Pass. Strangely something came over me when I finally got to Armstrong and I just blazed right past the trailhead without even stopping. I'm glad I did, it was a great run and would have been a shame to miss the finish.

And then you went down Toads and it was all good!

Get a Toad "O" Matic and you to can make delicious creamy Toad milkshakes

...And I think the first picture is climbing towards Monument pass
Good catch. I was trying to figure that one out. That was the switchback climb up to the powelines that's how I got so high above him for the shot.

I was wondering how you got that shot angle.

Great shots by the way!

I'm assuming this is a shuttle?
I prefer "Point to Point" ride rather than shuttle which implies very little actual climbing or effort but yes, we were dropped off at Spooner and picked up at the bottom of Toad's.

Smoke-free, high altitude pics from a great trail?
It was quite odd, on Friday everything was hazy and cloudy. Saturday it was crystal clear all day, then Sunday it was smokey. Lucky timing, great ride.
