I received my Prophet 1000 in May and have loved every bit of it since the first day. But whats a bike without upgrading. Haha. So here are my season upgrades with pictures. Enjoy. Comments accepted.

Best upgrade of all and my first big upgrade. Used the existing Mavic 819 UST and mated it to a Chris King. This thing sounds awesome.

Found out that the individually spaced cassette was putting notches in my EXPENSIVE CK so I swapped it out for a nice new Sram PG-990 and a new chain. I love the red. It matches my SPV Valve caps. Haha.

It might be a little hard to see but I upgraded from the stock X-7's to some nice new X-9's. Also I got a new set of ODI Ruffian Lock-Ons. They is sweet.

My new freakin' hugeeee 203mm rotor. This thing is massive. I think I went a little to big. I havent go to break it in yet because it snowed and its freakin' freezing.

And the whole bike. Another upgrade is the Avid Flak Jacket and a Salsa Trials Bashring.

Doesnt that 203mm Rotor make that rear one look small. I was thinking about making the rear one 185mm just to even it out some. Haha.

Some more upgrades I would like to do is a new Sram X-O rear der. and a Thompson Seat Post. But I got another bike to upgrade too. Haha. Enjoy.

Haha and Faceplant Style. Haha.

And can you believe I am still running the stock tires. I have been waiting for those Kendas but they seem to always be in backstock so I might just get some Maxxis Ignitor UST tires and go back to tubeless.

I mean it about the 50-0 stopping with one finger. The other benifit is less forearm pump on the extended decents.

What was the weight diff. between the stock hub and the King?

Nice job! No dig intended, but I get shivers thinking about how great the deep blue CK would have looked, glowing like a jewel in the blue swingarm! Try a Conti Diesel 2.5 up front, leftys take 'em, and they are just insane fro braking and cornering, it'll help that 203mm get more use=:)

Great upgrades!

A bit off-topic: Mendon, do you know if a big tyre like the Conti Diesel will also fit in the rear of the Prophet?
I do not have one on the back, but I just measured, and you will have at least a solid 1/4" maybe a bit more, so, yes it will. I have a 2.3 Survival on back, and it has gobs of clearance.

Yes I do agree that that would have looked cool but I didnt know I could have got different colors because I ordered it from our supplier at our shop and they just had black. I didnt really feel like going through CK although it would have been better. I wish I could of got Mango! Haha.

nice rig

prophet - nice rig. actually i just had a 203mm rotor ordered for my P600. Im planning to go with a 203/160 based on some advice given in the "brake time" thread. i was wondering how it would look and walla you posted a pic of your rig. looks sweet. now im wondering how it will ride : )

I would advise against a 7" rotor for the rear, as this frame tends to have a little break jack. Guys at work have used larger rotors on the wheel, but without much success (except when using a floater) because of the jack issue. For most riding, 160 is plenty in the rear, as it's mostly used for control rather than stopping power like the front.
