Is there a list somewhere of all the progressive xc ht(67° or slacker, a more modern reach...)? The one I've so far found are the BMC TwoStroke, Cannondale Scalpel HT, Pipedream Sirius, and Esker Japhy. What else is there on the market?

Turner Nitrous can be added to the list. I am also looking for a new school xc racing ht. So far the Cannondale is winning out and there is nothing proprietary about the frame.

There is if you go with a Left fork as that uses a custom hub standard? Turner Nitrous looks cool. There is also the Spot Rocker too. I'm looking less for race xc and more just xc.

True, but if you have the money and want the higher end carbon frame it's lefty only. I don't think they offer either variant of the Scalpel frame only.

Sell the lefty and run a normal fork. That is what i did on my fsi

Good call. Though sadly the higher end frame is out of budget for me.

Polygon Syncline comes close with a 67* HTA, but reach is a bit old school. But, $1800 for a carbon hardtail with two bottle mounts in the frame & 120mm Fox Float 32 sounds good to me.

Don't know if you consider it XC but my Yeti ARC has been a blast. I have a trail set of tires and XC set of tires mounted on separate wheelsets so I can go fast & long or go extra rowdy.

Would be great if they brought out a more affordable steel or aluminum version of the ARC. The carbon model is out of my budget.

There were a few ibis db9s left on the internet last time I looked. I think only smalls.

IBIS DV9 is what a 68* hta, which isn't progressive enough for my taste(prefer 67* at least). I'm sadly closer to a medium so small wouldn't work for me. Womp womp. Are those small DV9 frame only? Is still at $1k usd for the frame?

Stanton Sherpa comes in two steel variants and a ti variant. Another one to the list.

That Marin looks nice. I don't think the Pine Mountain is an XC bike but the geo is similar to some here.

Is the Scalpel's geo measures at sag or is it unsagged geo?

with a 120mm fork the Stanton Switch9er and the Banshee Paradox are more xc like without being an xc bike.
