And now for something completely different. Alot of the SS folks use their cranks, but you don't hear much about their hubs. All proprietary; 135mm hub with removable frewheel; size 9 tooth (yes 9) to 11. $245 for the hub and [email protected] for the driver/freewheels; $25 for the larger 12-18t cogs. A really different approach.

I've used it and what I have found is the cog spacing is crazy inboard. I think they used their 6-speed hubshell with their BMX driver to make the hub. The hub is bombproof and has quick engagement plus they are super easy to maintain. Overall I'd give it a big thumbs up but be ready to do some serious bb spacing... Other issue is the cogs are proprietary (non-Shimano, Surly or King) and 18T is the largest.

while I can't vouch for the s/s hub specifically, I had a profile mtb hub and it was prolly my all-time-favorite...don't know why I ever got rid of it as with most of the parts I've sold over the years...

i like profile hubs, but they have a bunch of issues.

1. cassette cogs are not shimano compatable.
2. imperial fasteners.
3. a bit heavy.
4. loud.
5. not much room for more than one cog on the cassette body.

otherwise, they are bombproof and very well made. i just wish that they would get in line with the rest of the industry on a few details.

Profile Racing MTB Disc Hubs for SS

Any takers? Bought them last month but realized I ordered 32h. I need 36h.

The SS Hub includes a 16t cog

They're brand new and Custom anodized Tangerine(Orange) by Profile Racing themselves

Here's your chance to benefit from my mistake.

I paid $382.90.

I'm only asking $300 plus shipping for the set.

Anyone interested may contact me through PM or email at [email protected]
