So I recently had my local bike shop install a set of Avid BB7's with mech XTR levers, but now I find that my front wheel is not free from braking. What I mean is that when I pick up my bike and let the front wheel spin freely it is still receiving friction from the BB7's. I can hear it it's so bad...What should I do?

Take it back to the LBS, who installed them. They know better to ensure the brakes have a drag-free rotation of the wheels.

Learn to do it yourself. It's much easier than you'd think.

Like tomsmoto said, Just turn the Red pad adjusters out until there is no more rubbing. Test out how the lever feels and keep adjusting the knobs in or out until the brakes feel right to you.
