Ive got the old 36 hole deemax and my spokes keep getting loose.

tell mechanic to use spoke lube (it is a softer locktite) or even locktite them (blue)MTB_prodigy said:

That can happen with the dee max/823 rims. Gerald at Racers Edge in Brooklyn made a tool to really tighten those spokes. The regular mavic one was not up to the task

dee max/823 rims....you might be having problems with the part that screws into rim and holds the nipples.....you need to locktite all of those too.
