my situation: $500 (cdn) bike, need new crank, dont want to cheap out, not paying more than $100(cdn)
my friend might buy a new crankset and im thinking about buying his old one, its in decent condition and is a truvaliv(spelling?) fiveD. i know its not the best crankset int he world but its for sure better than mine and my guess in canadian funds it goes new for upwards of $80 so im thinking it might be worth it to buy it used, i need a price to offer him, any suggestions

you can get one brand new for $50 (US)....i wouldn't buy it..it has a chromoly big ring that will bend if/when you hit a log/rock...for $100(US) you can get a fine SET of rings and cranks RaceFace Evolve XC or similiar Truvitive...if you must buy it offer him $30
