I originally was looking at either an F600 or a Giant XTC. The salesman is willing to go $1300 on the F1000. It's got the black paint w/flames. I guess he's cutting me a pretty decent deal.

That is a great deal, not having the dealer cost pricing available to me, but having worked at bike dealers in the past, I'd sat that is bang on or slightly below dealer cost.

AFAIK the '05 F600's MSRP was $1100. He's got one of those down there for $925.

Go for the 1000.

As long as it is the right size, do it. YOu will find the Lefty to be awesome.

thanks for the advice. I went ahead and test drove the bike. It definitely rides nice! I wound up buying it for about $1250 + tax!
