Just killed a press fit BB in my Mach 4 after about 5 months of weekly riding. Went to ride it today and everything is notchy and sticky. Hasnt been jetwashed.
Any suggestions on reviving it?
Has it really got a 3 yr warranty as Pivot claim?
Any similar experiences?

yes, it really does have the warranty......take it to your dealer/LBS and they can check it out and order you a new one.

I killed mine after 2 years and a week later, had a new one installed just recently.

I just had my bottom bracket done at the shop as well for my Mach 5. Only after 16 months, it feels grindy and sometimes like there's cement in there.

I called the shop and explained the warranty through Shimano, as explained by Pivot. My shop guy called Shimano and their rep was surprised to hear about this. They will honor it, since it's stated on Pivot's website, but the Shimano guy states it's odd to warranty something that will wear out with use and he will have to call Pivot to discuss.

BB update - thanks Madison NOT!!!!!!!!!

Seems the 3 yr BB warranty is a crock of........

Had the offending item removed by LBS and sent to Madison for warranty assessment who returned it stating they were not interested and that it was wear and tear (after 5 months - never had a BB die this quick!!)
In my mind, wear and tear would mean excessive play - there was no play, it was seized solid which says seal failure to me.
In my opinion it should last longer than this and i'm going to start broadcasting the fact.
What exactly IS it warrantied for? - can't think of anything much to go wrong with a BB.
Anyone from Upgrade or Pivot care to comment?

Thanks to Pivot for getting back so promptly - getting some help from them to try and sort it.

I had to have mine replaced too after about 8 mths. 429 bike. LBS where I bought the frame changed it no problem. Thanks SMC!!
