Beautiful shots in Switzerland. At what elevation are most of those rides? I would love to ride there. Looks a little bit like some of the places we have around here above 3500m.
Started as a bad year with leg surgery but things got better during summer. Was able to take the newly repaired on a road trip to Oregon and just have a great second half of the year.

Sitting out for the 24HOP but still having fun.

Some Oregon greenes far different then the Tucson desert.

We had some great trips to Flagstaff my favorite AZ riding.

Good night.

A little bike event in the desert.

New bike passion.

Just hitting some dirt.

love this one. The forest riding in Oregon is such a contrast to other places. Great shot.
not as much biking as i'd like but still the most eventful year of my life for sure.

Man, what rise of stem are you running on the ML? And what fork is that?
Looking back 2009 was a pretty eventful year.

In January I made my last car payment and my last child support payment.
To celebrate my new found wealth I built a bike.

The day after the last part arrived I lost my job  so I took a 2 month vacation financed by the state of Maryland. :D
Put a lot of miles on that new bike.

In May I found a new job near my old hometown. It's great to be back home!

It's also great to have some new trails to ride! Here's part
of a short loop I built in the woods behind my parents house

In October I rode my first race on the weekend of my 42nd birthday.
That's me in the back. #147. I finished 4th

November we bought a house within riding distance of some sweet single track.
Nothing fancy but the price was right plus it has a sweet 2 car garage

The garage

And another bike was built to celebrate :D This time a 650B hardtail

Well, 2009 was good cycling wise. While we didn't get in as many big trips as usual, we did get in a few. Finance wise it sucked. My teacher wife was laid off off, thank you California, and I was laid off after almost 9 years, thank you economy, as a IT support specialist.

But, as I said, there was some fun.

New bike for my wife:

Which she enjoyed in Moab:

Even I had some fun in Moab:

Fruita fun, even if we did get rained out most of our days there this year:

Took two first timers to Mammoth, and met up with friends from N. Cal there:

Oh, and a hell of a road bike ride (4th hardest hill in the US), Horseshoe Meadow road in the Eastern Sierra:

Riding a couple of times each week all through the year on the local stuff too.

All in all a pretty good year. Already planning for 2010's rides.
