Seemingly dumb question - but - are folks sure it's ok to hang 1 rim from the wall? For whatever reason it seems like a lot of weight hanging on the rim for a 28-30 pound bike. Over time is this an issue??
It is not a dumb Q. Hanging bikes from their rim is no problem - in fact, I would bet 99% of LBS in the world hang bikes like this. I can't imagine how we could deal with the conjestion if the repair bikes were stored on the floor.

I found this computer desk on the side of the road on trash day.
I put a $10 truck mount hitch on it and allasudden its almost a bike stand.
I just need to come up with a mod for the rear axle now......

My garage from a couple of years ago. I've since sold both Bianchi road bikes and replaced them with a Giant Aero TT bike and a CYFAC Starship road bike. Also turned the corner of the garage into a work area. Hopefully the pic attaches ok, I'm kind of new at this.

I see a Barracuda :)

Heres mine, hanging on adjustable shelving brackets. it works really well so far, and keeps it out of the way as its above a bookshelf. (note: this photo was taken when the bike was brand new, its much dirtier now.)

Remove that hot water heater and you’d have room for another bike.
