Post photos of your HARD TAIL SINGLE SPEED 29er

There are a few photos of hard tail single speed 29ers with front suspension forks scattered on several different mtbr forums. It would be great to group photos on one thread to see if they are popular or not.

I just added a rigid SS Kona Unit to my collection and am considering adding a front suspension fork to differentiate it more from my fully rigid 2X10 Salsa Fargo.

Is a HARD TAIL SINGLE SPEED 29er with front suspension a good combination or not?

I will post my 2011 Rig photos later.

I used to ride rigid SS. The sus fork is nice in some ways, and not so nice in others. It is nice on descents and also when charging technical terrain. Climbing and overall weight are the drawbacks for me. The lock out is useful, but still not rigid.

Overall, I am starting to be of the opinion that the trade off is worth it. I gain speed on descents, and that makes up for the perceived climbing shortfall.

I went with an aluminum frame when I got the sus fork. Basically, there was little weight difference between a steel frame and rigid fork, and the AL frame with sus fork.
Here is my current temp ride. I'm in the process of having a custom steel HT/SS built, which I'll post up when it's finished.

Here's mine. Have a rigid steel fork standing by, as well as a Jones H-bar :)

Still working on getting it lighter. Saddle has been swapped out, rear wheel and brake rotors are next.

agu: Your Pereira is fantastic, such a great looking bike.
Please don't hate for my entry level frame but this was my first bike, bought last August, I've upgraded everything on it as of now due to breaking and/or wanting a better level of equipment. I'm done spending money on it and will be buying a nicer frame in a few months and swap everything over.

Here's my 2011 Rig. The Juicy 3's were recently replaced under warranty with Elixir 3's.

Those are Chris Kings - the older models which needed an adaptor for the rear disc mount.
