OK here's the deal. I am hoping that I can finish building up my M1 before this weekend (3/27-28). If this happens, I am planning on shuttling/riding this trail system in Worcester/Paxton that is off of Rt. 122 at the end of Asnebumskit Rd where the radio towers are the same weekend. I guess some people call it the Worcester Airport Run???

I shuttled this area with a few guys about 2-3 years ago and it was a nice long dh run. Nothing extremely difficult, but a real fun time. The only problem is that untill recently I couldn't find the place and I can't remember the trails.

I have searched everywhere to see if there are any maps to this trail system, but haven't found anything. So if I can get my bike ready, I was planning on exploring the area so I know where to go and where not to go durring this weekend. The only thing is I'm not too sure that I want to drag people with me to go get lost in the woods or end up a town or two over since there are at least 3 trail heads at the top and I don't and can't remember where they go.

i think the area is called "the bump", correct? among other things. Go to mass trail reviews where its called "chaos". ive ridden it a number of times from the bottom up to towers and back down. trails are marked good (colored marks on trees), fun place to explore, but ive given up on a map. its an AMC trail system and i cant find it in any book or at their site. BTW whats "shuttling"? good luck.

As for shuttling. Basically myself and few people are going to park down at the bottom of rt. 122 and drive in one car with our bikes to the towers and then ride down, then take another car....etc.

It's how us lazy DH'rs get up a hill when there is no lifts available

man, those teambum people are good. i dunno where/how they make those maps. like i said, ive riiden the area a few times and would never imagine turning it into a loop around worcester airport, tho looks interesting....and long.
