I was waiting for the release of this helmet since the day I saw it in Interbike pics!
It looks super cool! Me and a friend were gonna buy some...I like the white with orange..

UNTIL....I saw the price! WTF! What are these helmets made of? It's 20 bucks cheaper than their full face helmet....Is it carbon fiber?

I think I'll stay with my trusty Giro Xen helmet :)

Anything named after Alex Trabec is worth it's weight in gold!

What a ripoff. I've been waiting for this helmet to come out since I saw that interbike picture as well but this is unacceptable.

hell, the new xar is 170 at crc. way more than a xen. new models are always steep. poc has a great rep and it is your brain its meant to protect. it's expensive but it will probably still sell.

I'm going to buy either the urge endur o matic or the new POC trabec. I think both will provide more protection than my xen, and I like the growth in more full coverage 'open faced' MTB helmets. Yes, the trabec looks over priced, but an incremental $100-$150 for head protection is trivial IMHO. And there may be features with the POC that merit the higher price. Not much seems to be known about this helmet thus far.

Except for construction (core and shell), color, price, number of vents, strap style, etc. While there aren't any rider reviews yet, I'd say we know a decent amount already.

POC uses EPP in their multi-impact helments. The Trebec uses EPS, so it looks like a one-shot helmet.

been using a POC receptor flow for a couple of years now and the construction is first rate. this new lid is expensive but hey they're not looking to compete with price points as far as I can tell. I'm sure it will be a solid product like all their others. no different market than TLD, XTR, BOS, right? The Urge enduro is a cool alternative me thinks. where there's a wallet there's a will
