Hi guys I was hoping someone could help me to make a decision between these two bikes. I have been deliberating for some time over these two setups and still am not anywhere close to a decision. I love the color of the Trek Cobia ( red and white) but feel the frame is inferior to the specialized. I think the Specialized has a better frameset but inferior drivetrain ( SRAM v Alivio).

I wonder if I should buy the specialized for $200 more and upgrade the drivetrain at a later date. Or should I save the $200 and upgrade something else on the Cobia?

I have tried both at my LBS the Specialized lighter and had a better frame, the Cobia felt better to ride and had a better fork, but was heavy 30lbs. Cobia was cheaper too.

My quest continues as I have not decided yet.
