The Brodie Omega is the ticket, the others won't take the punishment, they are primarily XC bikes; you'll just break them. That said, the fork on the Omega is also a trail fork, not a 'shore one, But it will do for starters.
The Omega is a decent start and has disc hubs. Get the shop to put (Avid Mechanical)discs on for you at purchase and deduct the price of the Vbrakes (cruel joke on that bike). Spend up front or you won't be able to control the bike.
I think there are no pedals: go to MEC (Mtn equipment co-op and get Wellgo sealed bearing flat ones, $50 CAD.
