I have an 07 ID 5 with the base fox float and I was looking at upgrading to something with an adjustable rebound and maybe a platform setting. Can anyone give their perception on any benifits or problems with this on the i-drive? I was looking at buying a float RP2 I found pretty cheap. Any opinions on this? Thanks.

The Force 2.0 that I have comes with a RP2. It has a platform valve on it but it doesn't work like the regular platform shocks for like a santa cruz or trek or specialized. It doesn't totally lockout the shock. If it did that then the Independent Drive would be useless. What it does, is actually provide just enough platform valving to still allow some suspension movement but not totally lock out the suspension totally. It really does help and continues to give you that full time suspension without hindering your pedaling. I can climb what my buddy climbs and he has a 26 lb. Titus TI racer. My Force is 31 lbs and 6 inches of suspension against his 4. I say buy it and you may be able to control the platform valve by working with your air pressure on the shock. I really like the way mine works.
