my inlaws have a vacation house down in jersery for a week and i will be spending some time there also. I tried a search on bikerag.com for places to ride but i only saw four of them and the closest one was over a hour away from where i am staying. so do any of you guys know of any places to ride close to toms river that would be fun to hit? i am into all sorts of riding except for the lift access stuff. i do mostly tight singletrack xc/all mountain type stuff and enjoy playing around on the man made drops and jumps a bit also. any input on riding places is appreciated.

Allaire State Park

Allaire is the best bet and is maybe a half hour from Toms River at most.

You may also want to try the dirt roads in and around Double Trouble State Park which is even closer. Nothing technical but a nice ride in the pine barrens and cranberry bogs.

Bring plenty of bug spray.
