Yes, all kinds of places in southern Illinois, probably 10 trail systems in Shawnee consisting of hundreds of miles and countless drops, rock gardens, technical creek crossings, all kinds of fun stuff.

damn forgot about Southern IL. The Shawnee has the potential to become a mountain biking mecha! A trip down there is definately worth while.

The big drop picture is at Lake Kinkaid near Carbondale. The gap pic is at One Horse Gap near Golconda. I've got several other pretty good ones but those were the only ones I knew that were uploaded. Actually here's one more, at Kinkaid, but it's too big to post it inline so here's the link:

The ridable trail systems down there include Cedar Lake, Lake Glendale, Lake Kinkaid, Buttermilk Hill, Millstone, Mill Springs, Jackson Falls, Camp Ondessonk, One Horse Gap, Dixon Springs, Palestine Church, and probably a few others, all within an hour from each other.
